What fun to look back on the whirlwind of last night’s First Thursday opening of Intertwined. People started arriving at 5 pm and kept coming through the door until the door was shut at 9 pm. The flow began slow, then was non-stop. The early arrivals were friends who had moved over the years to Seattle, or who were passing through.
Then came First Thursday regulars in Pioneer Square. They seemed keenly interested in knowing about the work—not just how it was made, but my concept and choice of material. They asked question after question. What’s not to like about enthusiasm? It was a good rehearsal for my artist talk on June 29, before the show comes down July 2.
