Ellensburg, WA is midway between Moscow, ID and Seattle, WA.  It’s always our favorite stop on trips to the Big City.  I arrived here this afternoon to begin installing an exhibit at Central Washington University, which opens on October 2 with an artist talk and reception.

Seeking out Dick and Jane’s Spot is like a pilgrimage for me—honoring the notion of art for art’s sake. I marvel at the artists’ public commitment to share their work as well as artwork they have collected over the years. If you insert two quarters in an old postcard machine, you receive, neatly sandwiched between thin cardboard, a picture postcard of Dick and Jane’s Spot.
