I snapped pix this morning while walking across campus to the Spurgeon Art Gallery from the conference center where I’m staying. The stillness on campus is deceiving—the calm before the storm. Students don’t arrive to begin classes until next week. I’ll take it.
My first day on the job, and as always, queasiness rules—until I get my sea legs. Filling this vast space feels like an overwhelming task. By the time, I’m done I will have tied over 4,000 knots. They connect wire leads to ceiling grid and glue strands to wire leads. Labor of love, devotion to idea? It’s what it takes to make this art happen.
